When you sit on bulls that you know are old. It’s fun to take note. Things I learned on this elk: -Only bedded in small depressions. Wind had to be 2 directional or he never laid down -Once he found a bed that held he’d stay for 2 and 3 days at a time. -Typically bedded fast. Then attacked the acorns during wind shift between 8:30-9:30; then 6pm. Was fun to take note. #Elk #DCOutfitters #Splits
#Catfish Very few bulls have taught me more than this desert elk. His behaviors were as unique as his name and funky frame. Definitely going to miss trailing this elk. #elk #DCOutfitters
2025 @huntexpo must see #Longhorn A book 5 point that grosses over 383” I promise this elk won’t disappoint. Longhorn has one of the more impressive frames I have ever seen on a bull. 60” beams, 30” of mass, and a 53” spread credit with character chasing each tine. …on a 5 point. Me n the boys hit the north country a couple weeks back 🇨🇦. Longs story short: 12 hr sits, weird meats, ketchup potato chips and… no deer (for me). No lie. I didn’t see anything!
